    過早接觸抽象符號,會影響其他思維能力?

    2009-10-29 新民晚報邵寧;吳婷報導中指出「有研究成果表明,讓孩子過早接觸抽象符號(如識字),會影響其他思維能力,如想像力、創造力的發展」,由於文章中沒有清楚指出是引用哪一個研究成果,在google查了關鍵字之後,倒是看到不少過早智力開發會影響其他能力的文章,這倒不難理解,因為只強調智力,而忽略了其他能力的培養,孩子的各項能力發展是會不全面的。在过早智力开发让孩子损失什么?一文中提到「過早的抽象學習,阻礙孩子認識真實的世界」,如果說想像力、創造力的發展是基於對真實的世界的認識與經驗,那麼由此去推論過早接觸抽象符號會影響想像力、創造力的發展,也不無可能。

    這倒讓我想起有一派人主張不讓孩子(我想應是指學齡前吧)看圖卡、圖畫書,主張直接帶孩子去看實物,以免破壞了孩子看到真實事物的感受。我覺得父母不必像訓練神童般的一天到晚給孩子看圖卡或字卡(我認為神童也不是後天能訓練出的),多帶孩子去認識這個真實的世界當然是好的,但也不必把圖卡或圖畫書拒之門外,孩子每天能接觸的世界有其局限,善用圖卡或圖畫書我認為也是一種認識世界的方式。

    很想詳細閱讀邵寧;吳婷所引用的研究資料,可惜交待不詳。
